Maestro Nicola Bruzzo

Violinist Nicola Bruzzo studied in Fiesole with Felice Cusano, in Weimar with Friedemann Eichhorn and in Berlin with Natalia Prischepenko. He was deeply influenced by great masters such as Thomas Brandis and Rainer Kussmaul.

Active both as a chamber musician and orchestral player, he performs worldwide in the most important concert halls alongside renowned soloists and conductors of the international scene. At a young age, he joined the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin and has since collaborated with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Orchestra Mozart and other important European ensembles.

He has recorded for Sony, Decca, Pentatone, Harmonia Mundi and Alpha Classics.

Since 2019, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of Ferrara Musica, where he subsequently worked alongside Prof. Enzo Restagno on the artistic direction of the concert season. He serves on the juries of national and international violin and chamber music competitions.

Nicola Bruzzo plays a violin by Lorenzo Storioni, made in Cremona in 1789.
