PREMIO PAGANINI PRESENTS UTO UGHI IN CONCERT IN GENOA: “NOTES OF HOPE” FOR THE GHIROTTI FOUNDATION

Premio Paganini welcomes Uto Ughi to Genoa for a special event. On Monday, April 28, 2025, at 6:30 PM, in the Basilica of the Santissima Annunziata del Vastato—described by Montesquieu as the most beautiful church in Genoa—“Notes of Hope” will take place: a charity initiative promoted by Premio Paganini, chaired by Prof. Giovanni Panebianco, in collaboration with the Gigi Ghirotti Foundation, chaired by Prof. Franco Henriquet. An agreement has been signed between the Foundation and the Municipality of Genoa – Department of Cultural Policies, for the organization of the event. The concert also anticipates another upcoming charity initiative, benefiting the Gaslini Foundation, scheduled for October 26 at Teatro Carlo Felice to mark the close of the 58th edition of the Competition.

Maestro Uto Ughi, a distinguished figure in Italian and international violin music, will offer his performance to the Genoese public in an evening that promises to be rich in emotion, uniting music and social commitment. At the piano will be Maestro Leonardo Bartelloni. The musical program includes works from the great repertoire of Paganini, Bach, Vitali, and De Falla.

All proceeds from the initiative will go toward supporting the Ghirotti Foundation, which for 40 years has been devoted with professionalism and passion to the care of chronically ill patients and their families, offering free assistance both at home and in the hospices of Albaro and Bolzaneto. The costs of care are supported by ASL 3 of Genoa and contributions from private donations, which are especially valuable in maintaining the highest quality of service based on each patient’s needs.
