During Premio Paganini award ceremony, held at the Carlo Felice Theatre in Genoa to a packed audience, it was announced that the Medal of the President of the Italian Republic would be awarded at the 58th edition of the competition, as a prize representing the Head of State, Sergio Mattarella.

Mayor Silvia Salis and the president of Premio Paganini, Giovanni Panebianco, expressed their deepest gratitude to the President of the Republic for the high honour received.

This recognition made this edition of the Paganini competition even more special.
