Matteo Manzitti, new collaborator of the Artistic Direction of the Premio Paganini

Genoa, 19 December 2025 - By decision of President Panebianco, adopted upon the proposal of Director Bruzzo and with the concurring opinion of the Committee, Matteo Manzitti joins the Premio Paganini as an expert collaborator of the Artistic Direction led by Nicola Bruzzo. The honorary appointment, provided for under Article 14, paragraph 6-bis of the Regulations, was introduced as part of the amendments approved by Genoa City Council Resolution No. 23 of 21 May 2024, with the aim of strengthening the Competition’s ties with the Genoese musical landscape.

A composer and cultural project designer, Manzitti combines his creative activity with an intense commitment to conceptual development and artistic direction. His career is distinguished by a focus on dialogue between tradition, research, and new forms of expression. From 2012 to 2024 he served as artistic director of the festival Le Strade del Suono, and since 2012 he has been artistic and musical director of the Eutopia Ensemble. Alongside his artistic work, he is deeply engaged in study, outreach, and education. The author of publications devoted to contemporary music and music education, he has received the SIAE Prize for Musical Creativity and the Abbiati Prize for Schools.
