Vadim Tchijik

Prize-winner of many prestigious international violin competitions such as, P.I.Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, R. Lipizer Competition in Gorizia; winner of International Competition in Portogruaro (Italy), Juventus Award (France), N. and L. Boulanger Foundation Award and Natexis Foundation Award in Paris, O. and V. Ritter Foundation Award in Hamburg and G. Cziffra Foundation Award (France).

He has performed with Moscow Symphony Orchestra, Kharkov Philharmonic Orchestra, Freiburg Symphony Orchestra, "Fondazione Teatro Carlo Felice" Orchestra, in Genoa, Yaroslavl Philharmonic Orchestra, Ulianovsk Philharmonic Orchestra, "Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto", Musica Vitae Chamber Orchestra and many others. Vadim gives recitals in France, Germany, Italy, Holland, Sweden, Russia, USA, Turkey, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan and other countries all over the world. He is very often invited to participate in different music festivals among which Festival Radio France and Montpellier, Guebwiller, Festival of St-Riquier, Fetes Romantique de Nohant, Music Festival des Grands Crus de Bourgogne, Japan Music festival, Okayama Music Festival, Festival of Laureats in Los Angeles, International Festival of Guil-Durance, Music Art Festival in Grenoble, International Festival in Portogruaro, "Settimana Musicale di Ravello", Euro Musica Vitae Festival, Juventus and Musicora in Paris. He performs in various radio and TV broadcasts in many countries and recorded several CD's for Lyrinx and DOCdata Benelux labels.

He played chamber music with Pieter Wispelwey, Cedric Tiberghien, Alexandre Tharaud, Marc Coppey, Emmanuel Pahud, Alexander Melnikov, Alban Gerhardt etc. His concerts always receive highest acclamations by critics. Vadim Tchijik is Professor of violin at the J. - Ph. Rameau Conservatory in Paris. Born in November 1975, he started to study the violin at the age of six and gave his first concert when he was only eight.

Vadim studied in Tchaikovsky Music School in Moscow, National Superior Conservatory of Music in Lyon, High Conservatory of Music in Cologne, Chigiana Music Academy in Siena and always obtained the highest honours. Among his teachers were Boris Belkin, Herman Krebbers, Ivry Gitlis, Edward Schmieder, Mihaela Martin, Peter Csaba and Irina Botchkova.
