Masterclass Requirements and Application Procedures

Application Procedure
Applications must be submitted no later than July 15, 2026, exclusively through the online form available on the website:
 www.premiopaganini.it
Violinists aged between 15 and 29 years (at the application deadline) are eligible to apply.
Active participation in the masterclass is free of charge and subject to selection by Prof. Ulf Wallin based on the video materials submitted with the application.

Required Materials
The application must include:

• A copy of a valid identity document
• Curriculum vitae in English
• A recent high-resolution photograph
• Links to the admission video(s)

Video Requirements
Candidates must upload one or more video files containing the required program to one of the following platforms:
Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, or iCloud.
Videos must:

• Be recorded with a fixed camera
• Be unedited, with no cuts
• Clearly show the candidate throughout the entire recording (especially hands and face)
• Technical specifications:
• Format: MP4
• Aspect ratio: 16:9 (widescreen)
• Minimum resolution: 1280×720
• Full HD or higher is strongly recommended

A professional recording is not required.

• 1 Caprice by Niccolò Paganini
• 1 piece of the candidate’s choice

General Information

The masterclass will be held in English and/or German.
Admission results will be communicated to selected candidates by August 31, 2026.
Admitted participants must present themselves on the first day of the course with a valid identification document (passport or ID card).
Travel, meals, and accommodation costs are entirely at the participant’s expense.
The Premio Paganini will provide selected participants with a list of partner hotels and rates.
Attendance as auditors is free of charge, subject to availability.
