Hawijch Elders is an Artist in Residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, where she studies with Augustin Dumay since September 2022. Before, she studied with Ilya Grubert. 

She won the First Prize at the 8th International Violin Competition Henri Marteau in May 2023, and also received prizes in the Leonid Kogan, Odessa and Lipizer International Violin Competitions. 

Hawijch plays a violin by Gennaro Gagliano and a bow by Jean Pierre Marie Persoit, on loan from the Dutch Musical Instruments Foundation. The violin is part of the ‘collection Willem G. Vogelaar’ and the bow is part of the ‘collection Tettelaar'.
