Christopher Reuning was born to a musical family in Ithaca, NY and began playing the cello at age 7. He became a violin-making apprentice at the age of 12 and thereafter devoted himself to the field of violinmaking, though he maintains his dedication to the cello to this day now as an avid amateur. Mr. Reuning is the owner of a leading international firm dealing in fine violins, violas, cellos headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts with offices in New York.
