Pursuant to Article 13 of the GDPR (EU Regulation No. 679/2016), the following information is provided, in accordance with the principle of transparency, in order to inform users about the characteristics and methods of data processing.

The Data Controller is the MUNICIPALITY OF GENOVA, legally represented by the acting Mayor, with headquarters at Via Garibaldi No. 9, 16124 Genova, Italy; email: urp@comune.genova.it; certified email (PEC): comunegenova@postemailcertificata.it. Within the scope of its institutional activities, the Municipality of Genova will process the personal data collected mainly by electronic and telematic means, under the conditions set out in Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), in particular for the performance of tasks carried out in the public interest, including archiving, historical research, and statistical analysis purposes. The data will be processed exclusively for the aforementioned purposes by the personnel of the Municipality of Genova and by any external collaborators, such as companies, associations, institutions, or other parties expressly appointed as data processors.

Outside these cases, the data will not be disclosed to third parties or made public, except where specifically provided for by national or European Union law. The provision of data requested in fields marked with an asterisk (or indicated as mandatory in the form) is essential, and failure to provide such data will not allow completion of the necessary administrative procedure.

Conversely, the provision of data in fields not marked with an asterisk (or not indicated as mandatory), while potentially useful for facilitating relations with the Municipality of Genova, is optional, and failure to provide such data will not prejudice completion of the procedure.

The data will be processed for the time necessary to fulfill the user’s request or as required by the procedure, and will subsequently be stored in compliance with regulations on the retention of administrative documentation. Some data may be published online in the “Transparent Administration” section where necessary to comply with legal obligations under Legislative Decree No. 33/2013, as amended and supplemented, concerning access to information, transparency, and disclosure requirements.

Data subjects have the right to request from the Data Controller access to their personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, to object to processing, and the right to data portability.

Requests to the Data Controller should be submitted through the Data Protection Officer (DPO) of the Municipality of Genova, whose contact details are provided at the beginning of this notice. Where the legal requirements are met, data subjects also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, in accordance with the procedures outlined on the website of the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).

Participation of Minors

The participation of underage candidates is subject to the completion and signing of the application form by a parent or a person exercising parental responsibility. By signing the application, the signatory declares, under their own responsibility, that they have obtained the consent of the other parent exercising parental responsibility, where required by applicable law.The Organization reserves the right to request additional documentation proving parental responsibility.

Release for Audio/Video Recording and Use of Images

The parent or person exercising parental responsibility authorizes the Competition Organization, free of charge, to take photographs and make audio and video recordings of participants’ performances during all phases of the event.

They also authorize the publication and dissemination of such images and recordings through:
• the official website;
• the Organization’s social media channels;
• promotional, informational, and educational materials;
• the press and media.

Such use will be exclusively for cultural, artistic, informational, and promotional purposes related to the competition, without any direct commercial intent. Any use that may harm the dignity or reputation of the minor is strictly excluded.
