On 3 October at 3:30 p.m., Palazzo Tursi will host a performance by Japanese violinist Reiko Watanabe, in the presence of Mayor Silvia Salis, Giovanni Panebianco, President of the Premio Paganini, and Tamio Kano, Chairman of the Sasakawa Music Foundation.

Reiko Watanabe will have the privilege of playing the celebrated “Cannone”, crafted by Bartolomeo Giuseppe Guarneri “del Gesù” in 1743, in a programme featuring works by Bach, Paganini and Miyagi.

The event will also include an introductory presentation dedicated to the historic violin once owned by Niccolò Paganini, who bequeathed it to the City of Genoa, as well as the formal signing of the agreement between the Premio Paganini and the Sasakawa Music Foundation.
