Cristiano Rossi

He got his first-class diploma when he was just sixteen years old, studying with Sandro Materassi. He started his concert career and won important national and international competitions, among which "Premio Città di Vittorio Veneto" and "ARD" of Munich. He performed many recitals and important concerts all around Italy, Europe, South America, United States and Japan, held in the major venues, including Barbican Centre in London, Bunka Kaykan in Tokyo, Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow, Saint-Petersburg Philharmonic, Colon Theatre in Buenos Aires and Tonhalle in Zurich. He took part in international festivals (Venice, Stresa, Zurich, Spoleto, Como, Varna, Istanbul, Dubrovnik) and played with famous conductors such as Ahronovitch, Baumgartner, Chailly, Francis, Oren, Pesko, Renzetti, Soudant, Delman. Many of his concerts were recorded by RAI, BBC and Swiss, Slovenian, Romanian and German networks. He also recorded CDs, dedicated to Wolf-Ferrari, Busoni and Locatelli, for the labels Erato, Emi, Dynamic, with Bruno Canino at the harpsichord, that were acclaimed by the most prestigious European and American music magazines. He plays a Montagnana 1725.
